The reigning World Series champion Texas Rangers suffered a devastating loss when third baseman Josh Jung broke his wrist against the Tampa Bay Rays. Texas Rangers Prospect Justin Foscue has been Called Up to the Big Leagues in Response to Josh Jung’s Injury
Foscue, a former 14th overall draft selection in 2020 out of Mississippi State, has been called up to the big leagues. The 25-year-old is capable of playing all infield positions except shortstop. He has had good success in the minor leagues as he has a career .875 OPS and has had back-to-back seasons of 30+ doubles and 80+ RBI.
The Rangers Have the Fire Power to Weather the Storm Without Josh Jung
Despite losing Jung, Texas is loaded with talent. Wyatt Langford is having success his first week in the big leagues, stars Corey Seager, Marcus Seimen, Evan Carter, and Adolis Garcia are all still healthy and will help protect Foscue in the lineup.
